Rivers Chosen for Bride Shoot

Rivers Reception Centre and Rivers "Plaza" were selected by Bride Magazine as the backdrop for a 6-8 page spread in their upcoming December issue. The 18th August shoot featured men's fashion - including the same suit Lleyton Hewitt wore at his wedding.
Photographs were taken in both reception venues and outside along the wharf with views of the Yarra river and Melbourne's city skyline.


Last Cabaret Show for 05
Rivers cabaret dinner cruise
If you have been wanting to go on the Rivers cabaret dinner cruise you had better get your skates on. The last available Cabaret cruise for 2005 is on Sat 1st October. Tickets for this entertaining night will sell out fast. Price includes a 3 course meal, a 3 1/2 hour cruise and a live floor show. The show features Brazilian style dancing, the salsa and the Brazilian Capoeira (traditional martial arts dance). You can get up and dance after the show on our spacious dance floor. Dates Announced for Xmas Groups
BlueFire and Tides have released dates available to groups for their Christmas events. This option is perfect for smaller offices / departments who don't have the numbers for an exclusive use event.

Recipe: Veloute Sauce

Add this tasty sauce to your favourite fish, chicken or pasta dish. For something different - try it as a salad dressing.

Ingredients:

2 tbs Butter
2 tbs Flour
400ml Stock – You can use chicken, fish or beef stock
30g Blue Cheese

Method:

• Melt the butter, very slowly.

Add the flour.

Make sure you whisk well and let it simmer for a little while. Do not burn or allow it to change colour.

Pour in the stock. A little bit at a time. Make sure you keep whisking.

Once all stock is added, simmer sauce to cook out the flour taste. Could take 5 or so minutes. (Keep Tasting)

Add about 30g Blue Cheese and blend it together. Add more if you want a stronger taste.

If the sauce is too thick, add a little more stock until you are happy with the thickness. No salt is required.
