Funds will go towards helping homeless people around Melbourne

StreetSmart Story “…we recently assisted a middle aged man who had been homeless for around 14 months…. sleeping rough for many months.  He had come across an old derelict caravan that he could obtain …  and with the aid of the StreetSmart monies we were able to help him equip it internally to a livable condition.   In doing this he was able to place the caravan in a secure location at the rear of a friend’s home and live independently and safe with access to laundry and bathing facilities.  When I last spoke with him a few months ago this arrangement was still in place and he was surviving well.”   John Fraser, Hastings Community Centre.

Serves – 2 people, main size

Ingredients

500g, Scallops
3, Spring onion sprigs, finely chopped
1, Ginger, finely chopped
½ tsp, Sugar
2 tsp, Vegetable oil
1 tsp, Oyster sauce
½ tsp, Salt
1 tsp, White wine

Method

Prepare scallops by soaking in hot water for approximately 5 minutes

Heat 2 tsp of oil in a wok. Add scallops and stir fry until golden

Add ginger, spring onion, sugar, oyster sauce, salt and white wine to wok and fry for a few minutes

Serve immediately

Serving suggestion – place scallops in shell positioned in a circle around a plate with a dash of sauce from the wok. Place finely sliced carrot & red capsicum in the centre
